Stepping from North Carolina to Florida

Around 2003 my husband and I built a home in a different state with an eye toward retirement. We began traveling between homes often and sporadically, averaging a dozen trips a year which went on for 12 years. I knew when our schedule became so unpredictable my service commitments to a home group would suffer. By that time I’d also connected with an email group (ESH) which was a Godsend with so much back and forth. I could have a meeting anywhere – both Florida and North Carolina, and everywhere in between!

An ESH member mentioned in a share about the 12 Step Committee of OIAA. I was immediately intrigued and looked into it straight away. It was January, 2008. And I haven’t looked back since. It has been such a huge blessing in my life.. even after the traveling between homes stopped. Now we travel a lot for pleasure and I still get to wake up each morning and check my Steppers Inbox to see if anyone might have written in who is in need of a little hope, a little information, a little encouragement. I’m pretty sure I gain most from these encounters. What a blessing my email group and Steppers have been in my life.
