Group Report For The Way Out – Oct 2023 – Online Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous

Group Report for The Way Out - Oct 2023

There is a lot going on at The Way Out group. Since our last report, we have done a group inventory and our group conscience spoke. We had been doing a trial period at one of the online districts while maintaining our membership and vote in the general service structure in District 20, Area 75.  The group conscience decided to remain with District 20, Area 75. Some of our members expressed interest in getting involved in forming an online district within Area 75 (Southern half of Wisconsin). More will be revealed.

When doing our group inventory we determined that it would be a good idea to do an inventory of our phone list and mailing list. We plan to each take part of the list and call everyone to ask how they are doing, tell them about the survey we are sending, and ask them to fill it out. We have struggled to get enough volunteers for all the service positions so we will also be asking members to be of service.

Another topic we discussed has to do with the future of our group. After doing the survey and reaching out to all our group members we will determine is we should remain a Group or drop our group status and just be a meeting. Again…more will be revealed.

Our Monday and Friday meetings are going very well with good attendance and participation. As we have learned, we are not the only group or committee or board that are struggling to fill all the service positions. We figure that as long as we continue to stay sober and spread the message to the alcoholic that still suffers, we are doing good.

Yours in service, Amy B., IGR
