Group Report for NZ Daily Zoom into the World of the Spirit - Mar 2024

Kia Ora Koutou (Greetings All)

Let me tell you about our Group.  We  meet every day at 6.30am NZ Time (That’s the future for many of us).  We only do this gig one day at a time, but this is a rare chance to get a glimpse into tomorrow.  We’re going through that challenging time of year right now: US clocks have just changed, and UK clocks change April as do our clocks too.  So if you’re a Kiwi then its not too bad — but for a lot of our group, this meeting happens across a 2-hour time span depending on the time of year.

We have such a dedicated group, though. Not only do our international friends tolerate, they get involved and do service and even bring their friends along for good measure!  Speaking of Service, we’re getting involved in the OIAA Online Convention that’s happening in October; in fact, I think we get to open the doors, so that’s pretty cool. 🙂  We have an active subcommittee, hard at work right now putting a lot of energy into getting us going in the kiwi traditional style. 🙂

But what about the meeting? I hear you ask.  Well, that’s 30 mins: no nonsense, and too early for BS.  We focus on Steps 10 and 11 and we read a paragraph a day from pages 84-88 of the Big Book.  We’ve been doing it for nearly 4 years now (started in lockdown); we thought it would only be for a short time, but you know what?  The format just works.  We have good fellowship, a strong conscience, we follow the traditions, do service and carry our message as best we can.

All are welcome. If you’re new and want a 1 on 1, we offer break outrooms where you can talk to a group member.  We’d love to have you along! Send us an email and we’ll send you the access details

Thank you for letting me be of service. I hope you’ll pop in and say hi soon.
