Website Analytics — Two Distinct Eras in 2025
Midyear in 2025 our analytics stopped reporting. During this time the technology committee stopped using a specific analytics service and chose to report directly from Google Analytics. All statistics beginning in September established a new baseline for reporting numbers. September onward will be treated as a new baseline.
Era 1: January–May (Consistent Measurement, Rising Demand)
Clear upward trajectory
- Users grew from ~98k (Jan) to ~432k (May)
- Sessions and pageviews remained very high (≈1.3M pageviews/month)
What this tells us
- Early 2025 saw strong demand for online AA resources and meetings.
- Engagement was not just visits, but deep usage (high pageviews).
Transitional Period: June–August (Analytics Disruption)
What happened
- June–July show abnormally low user counts.
What this means
- These months cannot be compared numerically to either earlier or later periods.
- However, meeting counts and directory size continued growing.
Era 2: September–December (New Analytics Baseline)
From September forward, metrics are internally consistent and comparable.
Stable, high engagement
- Users: ~190k–220k per month
- Sessions: ~350k–450k per month
- Pageviews (Nov–Dec): ~1.3M per month
Device & language patterns
- Mobile-first usage dominates
- English-speaking users remain the majority
- International reach continues across dozens of countries
What this tells us
- Post-baseline reset, the site shows strong, sustained demand.
- Engagement levels in Nov–Dec match or exceed early-year pageview intensity, despite fewer reported users — suggesting high-intent usage.

India is the strongest non-Western growth driver in 2025.
— Moderate-growth, mixed-device countries —
Canada & Australia
- Language: English

This explains:
- why Brazil outpaces some European countries
- why India emerges strongly
- why stable European countries remain flat without decline
