Steppers Committee – November 2023

Hello fellow OIAA members –

Our new Steppers Committee Chair and Alternate Chair are DC Dave and Jeff B., respectively. We are grateful for their service and excited to welcome them to these roles on January 1 2024.

People around the world continue reaching out to OIAA in a number of ways. Therefore, we will break down the requests of those asking for help with drinking and show you how we received each one. The easiest way to do that is using tables with the data. Those are below.

“I just wanted to say thank you for your generous and explanatory email. Yesterday i reached out to the contact for the local support group – and today I went to my first AA meeting in my town. It was great, everyone was so welcoming. I even decided to speak because I felt everyone deserved to hear some of my story. They even gave me a coin and some things to read and some even gave me their numbers. It was a lot to process but i felt like i had come to the right place. It was great that everyone was so open and honest and lots were very funny. So thank you again, I am now 1 day sober and I think this could be the beginning of something i was missing.”
