PAC continues to be as busy as ever. Our committee replies to Group that wish to be included on our OIAA meeting directory. We have over 11,000 meetings on our Meeting directory right now and the number does not seem to be slowing down. This month PAC replied to 69 Meeting and completed the listing for 25 meetings which represents 37% of the groups who submitted requests. This is an increase from the 25% of completed listings last month. We reply to the group in the language that they list on their new group meeting form. We are very grateful that modern technology makes this relatively simple. This month we listed meetings in Israel, Indonesia, and Costa Rica, in addition to meetings in the United States and Canada.

When a group completes a new group form we review it to make sure the group is really an alcoholic anonymous group and has provided us with all of the required information including a direct link to the meeting, valid description of the meeting, which does not include literature that is not approved by the General Service Conference, a public email address and a primary and alternate contact. We require all of this information so that if there is a problem with the group, we have a variety of ways of contacting them.

When groups provide all of the required information initially the process is very quick. Unfortunately, many groups do not provide all of the required information and when we requested, we never hear from them again. If you have a group that you would like to list in our meeting Director we will be happy to help you complete the new Group information form you can contact us at pac@aa-intergroup.org.

PAC has also initiated the IGR Steppers, which is available to meet with any new IGRs, orient them, help them learn how to navigate our incredible website and learn what their responsibilities are as an IGR. This month the IGR Steppers met with several IGRs including ones from Panama, India and Italy.  If you are new IGR and would like to take advantage of this wonderful service, contact igrsteppers@aa-intergroup.org.

Our committee meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at noon Eastern time:
