- Welcome & Opening (5-10 minutes)
- Welcome and introductions
- Serenity Prayer
- CPC Purpose: To “inform professionals and future professionals about A.A. — what we are, where we are, what we can do, and what we cannot do. [We] attempt to establish better communication between A.A.s and professionals, and to find simple, effective ways of cooperating without affiliating.” (CPC Workbook)
- Reminder of available resources, including:
- CPC Workbook
- Pamphlets and literature specific to CPC work (for committee members and for professionals).
- Videos at aa.org e.g. for Healthcare Professionals and for Legal and Corrections Professionals
- Updates (5-10 minutes)
- Leila attended Board / Committee meetings and was approved to serve as Chair
- Committee Charter has been sent to the Board for approval
- Ask CPC mailbox set up and an inquiry response sent (thanks to Naterena’s alert and coordination)
- CPC Templates & Response System (30-40 minutes)
- Process for handling incoming requests
- Naterena presents Steppers process for handling incoming mail (Susan presented the the process for handling incoming PAC mail last month)
- Group discussion and interim decisions on CPC incoming request handling based on Naterena and Susan’s presentations (and any other alternatives if any members have additional input/thoughts) on:
- Monitoring for incoming requests and ownership upon identification of new request (who makes sure the response goes out and when)
- Collaboration, template modification, reviews, approvals
- Translation
- Response time
- Maintaining consistency, accuracy, and alignment with CPC workbook and other conferenced approved material
- Templates (existing and needed)
- Members willing to monitor the mailbox and respond
- Training (what is needed, and scheduling)
- Next steps and assignees
- Open Service Opportunities (5-10 minutes)
- Spanish‑language Alt Chair
- If no one ready, members are encouraged to invite potential candidates to June meeting
- Next Steps, Action Items & Closing (5-10 minutes)
- If relevant, plan a training session for the CPC committee on CPC presentations for the audience that requested information on AA (if requests were submitted by professionals)
- Naterena recaps action items and owners if relevant
- Close with the Responsibility Pledge
