CPC 2026 Q3 Report

Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC)
Committee Report

September 19, 2026

  1. Past Quarter’s Focus
  • Development of workshop to take place in Q1 for Psychiatrists, Therapists, and Addiction Specialists to provide more information about what AA is and how it can complement their patient care plans, as well as resources for their clients e.g. the OIAA meeting list, OIAA Steppers, literature and videos.
  • Standing up an “Ask CPC” mailbox” and responding to incoming inquiries, development of a variety of shared templates for responding to incoming inquiries stored in the committee folder on Google Drive. Also incorporated offers to facilitate panels into templates where appropriate.
  • Significant additions of resources from the CPC PI Working Group (after vetting to ensure compliance with Traditions, Concepts, and OIAA alignment), Area 10 CPC, and AAWS, and full reorganization of Google Drive to improve ease of navigation and resource access.
  • Development of interactive onboarding / training program for new committee members covering CPC, Google Workspace, and responding to incoming inquiries (including mock inquiries) and facilitation of those onboarding sessions (group and individual).
  • Building multilingual capacity and translation support (especially Spanish ↔ English) so CPC can serve its international fellowship and to support our own global committee, including use of AI translation in one-on-one meetings and emails, translation of documents/resources and email templates (in progress), and continued live translation in meetings.
  1. Next Quarter’s Focus
  • Facilitate Q1 workshop for Psychiatrists, Therapists, and Addiction Specialists, review feedback forms from participants and conduct a lessons learned session, and build a customizable workshop toolkit (agenda/format, invite and communications, scheduling planner, feedback form, etc.) that can be easily modified for different audiences (with a goal of continuous improvement based on lessons learned and feedback after every workshop).
  • Initiative planning/brainstorming on projects that can increase incoming inquiries and/or proactive outreach projects, and continue to grow committee membership to support those projects.
  • Increase number of committee members responding to incoming inquiries to decrease response time.
  • Continued translation of documents/resources and email templates (in progress).
  • Continuous improvement to the onboarding process.
  • Training for speaking on panels (bringing in experienced CPC speakers for training and mock panels).
